The National Vocational Qualification Level 2 or 3 Award has been designed for those
already working in the Industry. Because candidates will have differing levels of skill our
assessors will complete a skills match. This allows for existing skills and competence to
be recognized and weaknesses identified. We will then provide an Individual Learning Plan
for each candidate. Any training required can be delivered in the workshop but assessments
are usually undertaken in the workplace.

Each NVQ route comprises:

• Occupation-specific units
• Underpinning Knowledge
• Portfolio of evidence
• H&S Test
