This Plastering Course is perfect for those who have attended our Foundation Plastering Course or those looking to enhance their plastering skills. Procedures learnt on the Foundation Plastering Course are reinforced and new skills added.
This Plastering course can be attended separately or we can arrange it to run consecutively with our Foundation Plastering Course, making a rewarding two week plastering experience.

Subjects Covered:

  • The application of bagged rendering materials including K Rend and/or Presto, you will be shown how to get the best from these products. We will teach you how to apply, cut back and insert V joints (Ashlar) to leave a super professional finish.
  • The correct method of laying a floor screed and how to consistently achieve a true level surface using water and laser levels.
  • How to line walls with plasterboard using the direct bond 'dot and dab' method.
  • The application of angle beads to external angles and window reveals.
  • The application of a sand and cement render scratch coat to brick and block walls, leaving a keyed level surface ready to accept your floating coat.
  • The application of a floating coat.
  • As with our Foundation Plastering Course great importance is given to finishing and final setting techniques with personal instruction on ceilings and walls, internal and external corners and window reveals ensuring that professional finish every time.
  • The correct method of cutting and fixing plaster cove, including internal and external corners.
